Active ingredient: Methylprednisolone aceponate

The main difference between the forms of Advantan is their composition and texture, which determines which skin type and problem each form is suitable for. The ointment is more dense and suitable for dry, flaky skin, the cream has a light texture and is better for oily or inflamed skin, and the emulsion is for large, moist areas and burns.

When administered topically, Advantan suppresses inflammatory and allergic skin reactions, as well as reactions associated with increased proliferation, which leads to a decrease in objective symptoms of inflammation (including erythema, edema, swelling) and subjective sensations (including itching, irritation, pain).

Indications:

Acute inflammatory skin diseases in adults and children 4 months of age and older:

• Atopic dermatitis, neurodermatitis.
• Contact dermatitis.
• True eczema.
• Seborrheic eczema.
• Microbial eczema.
• Dyshydrotic eczema.
• Degenerative eczema.
• Solar dermatitis (severe sunburn).

How to take, course and dosage:

Externally.

For adults and children from 4 months, the drug is applied 1 times a day in a thin layer to the affected areas of the skin.

The emulsion is applied to the skin in a thin layer, rubbing slightly. For sunburn, the emulsion is used 1-2 times/day.

If the skin is too dry when the emulsion is applied, it is necessary to switch to the formulation of Advantan with a higher fat content (ointment or ointment).

Special instructions:

In the presence of bacterial dermatoses and/or dermatomycoses, specific antibacterial or antifungal treatment should be given in addition to Advantan therapy.

The emulsion should not be used under an occlusive dressing. It will be appreciated that diapers may provide an occlusive effect.

Avoid contact with eyes.

As with systemic corticosteroids, external GCS may develop glaucoma (eg, after high doses or very long-term use, use of occlusive dressings, or application to the skin around the eyes).

Impact on the ability to drive and operate machinery

Does not affect the ability to drive vehicles and work with mechanisms.
