Active ingredient: Methylprednisolone aceponate

Comfoderm K: Used to treat primary inflammatory processes without evidence of bacterial infection.

Comfoderm M2: Prescribed in case, in addition to inflammation on the skin, there is a purulent lesion caused by bacteria.

Indications:

Inflammatory skin diseases sensitive to topical glucocorticosteroid therapy:

• atopic dermatitis, neurodermatitis, childhood eczema;
• true eczema;
• microbial eczema;
• simple contact dermatitis;
• allergic (contact) dermatitis;
• dyshydrotic eczema.

How to take, course and dosage:

Externally. Adults and children from 4 months of age.

The preparation is applied 1 times a day in a thin layer on the affected skin areas.

As a rule, the duration of continuous daily treatment with Comfoderm® K should not exceed 12 weeks for adults and 4 weeks for children. Comfoderm® K is suitable for the treatment of subacute and acute inflammatory processes without severe weeping, when the process is localized both on the smooth skin and on the scalp, including on the skin prone to oiliness.

Overdose:

The acute toxicity study of methylprednisolone aceponate did not reveal any risk of acute intoxication with excessive single dermal application (application to a large area under conditions favorable for absorption) or with unintentional oral administration.

Symptoms: with excessively long and/or intensive external use of GCS, skin atrophy may develop (thinning of the skin, telangiectasia, striae).

Treatment: if signs of skin atrophy appear, the drug must be discontinued.
