How to take, course of treatment and dosage:

Topically. The product is soaked in sterile gauze cloths, which are loosely filled into the wound. It is possible to administer to pus cavities through a catheter (drainage tube) using a syringe. In this case the ointment is preheated to 35-36°C. Dressings are done daily, once a day, until the wound is completely cleared of purulent and necrotic masses. For large wound surfaces daily dose of chloramphenicol ointment should not exceed 3 g. The duration of treatment depends on the severity and course of the disease.
