Indications:

How to take, course of treatment and dosage:

Semax is administered intranasally using a bottle with a plastic screw cap or a drip cap.

If the bottle is closed with a plastic screw cap, remove the plastic screw cap on initial use and replace it with the pipette and cap provided. Pipette the preparation into the pipette. With the head slightly tilted sideways, squeeze the required number of drops of the preparation onto the nasal mucosa.

If the bottle is sealed with a dropper cap, gently cut off the tip of the dropper, close the dropper tightly with the cap. Turn the bottle upside down before use, so that the liquid fills all the space of the pipette. Remove the cap and squeeze the required quantity of drops of the product onto the nasal mucosa.

Keep the vial of preparation tightly closed with a dropper cap, or a plastic screw cap, or a dropper cap.

One drop of the standard solution contains 50 µg of active substance. Pipette the drug solution in an amount not exceeding 2-3 drops into each nasal passage. If it is necessary to increase the dosage, the injection is carried out in several instalments at intervals of 10-15 minutes.

In cases of intellectual and mental disorders in patients with cerebral vascular lesions, circular encephalopathy and transient cerebral circulation disorders, a single dose of 200-2000 µg (at the rate of 3-30 µg/kg). The daily dose is 800-8000 micrograms (at a rate of 7-70 micrograms/kg).

The drug is administered in 2-3 drops in each nostril 4 times a day for 10-14 days, repeated if necessary.

After craniocerebral trauma, neurosurgical operations and anaesthesia, the single dose is 1400-3500 mcg (40-50 mcg/kg) 3 times a day for 3-5 days. If necessary, the course of treatment is prolonged for up to 14 days.

To increase the adaptive capacity of the human body and to prevent mental fatigue - 3-5 days 2-3 drops in each nostril 2-3 times in the first half of the day. The daily dose is 400-900 mcg/day. If necessary, the course of treatment is repeated.

In diseases of the optic nerve, the drug is put in 2-3 drops in each nostril 2-3 times a day. The daily dose is 600-900 mcg/day. The course of treatment is 7-10 days.

In addition, the drug can be administered by endonasal electrophoresis. The drug is administered from the anode. Current strength is 1 mA and the duration of action is 8-12-15 minutes. The daily dose is 400-

600 µg/day. The course of treatment - 7-10 days.

In paediatrics: For children from 7 years old. In cases of minimal brain dysfunction: 1-2 drops in each nasal passage (at the rate of 5-6 mcg/kg) 2 times a day (morning and afternoon). The daily dose is 200-400 micrograms per day. The course of treatment is 30 days.
