Gliatilin is included in the standard of care for cerebral infarction, brain injury and dementia.

Indications:

• acute MI with predominantly brainstem level lesions (impaired consciousness, coma, focal hemispheric symptoms, brainstem symptoms);
• ischaemic stroke (acute and recovery period) and haemorrhagic stroke (recovery period);
• degenerative and involutionary psycho-organic syndromes and consequences of cerebrovascular failure, such as primary and secondary disorders of mnemastic functions, characterised by memory disorders, confusion, disorientation, decreased motivation, initiative, ability to concentrate
• changes in the emotional and behavioural sphere: emotional lability, increased irritability, decreased interest, senile pseudo-melancholy;

How to take, course of treatment and dosage:

By mouth, before meals.

In chronic cerebrovascular failure, emotional and behavioral changes and multi-infarct dementia: orally - 400 mg (1 capsule) 3 times a day.

Duration of therapy - 3-6 months.
