Vigamox eye drops is a broad-spectrum antibacterial drug (group of fluoroquinolones) for topical use in ophthalmology. The product is bactericidal against a large number of bacteria including staphylococci, streptococci, Escherichia coli, diphtheria, salmonella, mycoplasmas, chlamydia, gonococci, spirochaetes, Klebsiella, including strains of microorganisms resistant to other groups of antibacterial agents.

Indications:

For the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the anterior eye (including conjunctivitis, blepharitis, keratitis, corneal ulcer, dacryocystitis, meibomianitis, barley), which are caused by microorganisms sensitive to moxifloxacin;

for the prevention and treatment of bacterial eye inflammation resulting from eye injuries or after eye surgery.

How to take, course of treatment and dosage:

Adults and children over 1 year of age: Apply 1 drop to the affected eye 3 times a day.

Improvement usually occurs after 5 days and treatment should be continued for further 2-3 days. If the condition does not improve after 5 days, the diagnosis and/or treatment should be questioned. The duration of treatment depends on the severity of the condition and the clinical and bacteriological course of the disease.
